Description: Framed map of Africa with glass front. Mapmaker: Johann Matthias Haas' (1684-1742) revision of Johann Baptist Homann's (1664-1724) 1715 map. Date: circa 1737. Size: 56.1cm x 46.3cm (map within border), 74.5cm x 66.8cm (frame).  
Condition: Good. Map age toned with foxing marks and two rust spots. Inconspicuous hole (1mm x 2.7cm) in map near the south-west tip of Africa. Fold line and crease down the centre of map. (Please contact us for full condition report at time of purchase.)
